Background

Where I'm from, and how I got here.

MH

I was born and grew up in a peaceful rural area in central Vietnam, under the love and care of my grandparents.

I studied Electrical Engineering at Da Nang University of Technology for my first three years, before receiving a scholarship from Intel Products Vietnam that allowed me to complete my final two years at Portland State University. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree, and my five-person senior capstone team won first place for designing and building an indoor asset tracking system.

After graduating, I worked at Intel Products Vietnam for three years to fulfill my scholarship commitment, gradually transitioning from electrical engineering into software engineering. I then spent ten years working remotely for a small US software company. Later, I volunteered at Restful Mind for a year, building an admin portal behind a mobile meditation app that helps people nurture their minds and find balance in everyday life.

At the moment, I write open-source libraries, practice system design, and mostly use AI the way most people do, as a chatbot and as an assistant while I code. Going deeper is next: building AI agents and AI-enabled apps myself.

I'm interested in math, science, technology, and solving challenging engineering problems, and just as much in organic farming, simple living, and spiritual growth. I'm curious how things work under the hood, whether that's a state management library or a vegetable garden.

I'm meticulous, attentive to detail, and always trying to make things better than I found them.
